Something people have asked me about is what to do when yum gives you the error

There are unfinished transactions remaining. You might consider running yum-complete-transaction first to finish them.

This is very simple

$ yum install yum-utils
$ /usr/sbin/yum-complete-transaction

Finished ;) Just a little cleanup of the completed transactions file
